I graduated as a mature student in 2014 with a Fine Art degree from Wirral Metropolitan College, followed by a year’s Fellowship.
I work mainly in acrylic paint and often integrate photographic elements. I use my own photographs as the starting point for mixed media pieces, combining different printing techniques and building up translucent layers of print and paint.
Much of my work explores often overlooked details of everyday life and the ways in which private worlds can be revealed to the public gaze, for example from a moving train or bus. In addition to urban landscape I also create pieces which describe the combination of natural and man-made landscape in rural settings.
