Chloe Augusta Wolf

Through my practice, I try to capture  the landscape of the Wirral and North Wales. Considering that this part of the UK had a rich culture during the Bronze Age and has a breathtaking landscape, mysterious light and the most amazing sunsets, I have endless inspiration.

I have been working on how to capture the sense of the magical that I love in my paintings, with out it being literal or cliched. I am deeply inspired by cup and ring rock carvings and Celtic gold artefacts.

The modern artists I look to now are Mark Rothko, Renaissance artists and Andreas Gursky (comparatively! )
