My choice of subject matter is intuitive; it might be about form, colour or the fall of light. My favoured time is working outside with a sketchbook, which is then taken back to my home studio for experimentation and perhaps working into a painting or monoprint. I come from a family of painters, but it took me until my fifties to immerse myself in painting, completing a Fine Art degree at Wirral Metropolitan College and working as a professional artist ever since.
