David’s paint, sketch and 3-dimensional works look toward urban, landscape, nature and decay.
Working in ink pen and wash & even biro for more spontaneous pieces. With these mediums he works rapidly (more so depending on the weather) in the field using sketch journals. These are anything from urban riverscapes, to rural areas. Further work combines these pieces into pictorial maps, cartoons & other works in acrylic and watercolour.
Also working with recycled materials, taking inspiration from maritime, industrial decay, to produce 3D work as part of the Wirral Dejunk exhibition. These take inspiration from architecture, industry, decay & the lived in environment.
During the week before the tour David will be in the Williamson building a dock & townscape.
