David’s paint, sketch and 3-dimensional works look toward metropolis, landscape, nature and decay.
Working in ink pen with watercolour for more spontaneous pieces he works rapidly (more so depending on the weather) in the field using sketch journals. These are anything from urban riverscapes, to rural areas. Further work combines these pieces into pictorial maps, cartoons and other works in acrylic and watercolour.
David also works with recycled materials creating 3D work taking inspiration from maritime and the built environment, industrial decay and the persistence of nature.
