I studied design, graphic design and specialised in illustration. I worked as an illustrator for a number of years with agent representation, working with such clients as Fortnum and Mason, Selfridges and John Lewis Partnership. I then began selling my work directly to the customer which I enjoy very much.
My artwork is inspired by nature, depicting local wildlife and scenes of both coast and country. Working in acrylic, I create pieces with a fresh whimsical quality, using a colourful yet subtle palette. My work has a slightly naive style using distortion of scale to evoke a touch of nostalgia.
I create high quality prints from my paintings using archival inks. My original pieces incorporate ceramic elements, giving them a unique relief feel, I also make ceramic hanging decorations, printed cards and handmade cards.
