Gill Curry

Gill studied Art and Contemporary Dance pursuing a career in Art & Design. In 2006 she read for an MA in Fine Art (Print) at Chester University and for the past twenty years has specialised in a variety of printmaking methods, exhibiting locally, nationally and internationally.

Gill shares printmaking facilities at the Bluecoat with fellow printmakers, which has led to a residency and exciting collaborative projects offering endless new possibilities in the medium of print.

In 2019, Gill was Artist in Residence at the Neurological unit at the Walton Centre, co–ordinated by the Bluecoat Display Centre. The Triptych ‘Flight’ completed celebrates the uplifting and in turn, humbling experience Gill had whilst working with the patients and staff at the centre. The theme of nature energised the workshops, brought the participants together to fly in the face of complex medical needs and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit.
