Gill Curry

Gill studied Art and Contemporary Dance in London and pursued a career in teaching Art and Design followed by studying for an MA in Printmaking.

Gill shares printmaking facilities at the Bluecoat with fellow printmakers, which has led to a residency and exciting collaborative projects offering new possibilities in the medium of print.

Gill in 2019 was Artist in Residence at the Neurological Unit at the Walton Centre, co-ordinated by the Bluecoat Display Centre. The triptych ‘Flight’ completed celebrates the uplifting and in turn, humbling experience Gill had whilst working with the patients and staff at the centre. The theme of nature energised the workshops, brought the participants together to fly in the face of complex medical needs and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit.
