I create Lino prints and a lot of my work is inspired by local landscapes. I started printmaking three years ago and now work from my little garden shed which is home to my printing press. My prints begin life as sketches which I then transfer onto Lino before I carve my design. I like to use primarily black ink, sometimes with one colour, because I enjoy the challenge of creating different tones and textures using only one or two colours. When I am not working on landscapes I like to experiment with more illustrative designs which I print onto greetings cards and sometimes onto fabric. I enjoy a challenge and I am always happy to discuss commissions if you are interested in my work.
