A local artist born and bred, I predominantly explore my deep connection to our beautiful peninsular and attempt to express my love and reverence for our environment through my work. My deep concern for our planet has shifted me towards finding more eco-friendly materials. I’ve recently discovered oil and cold wax medium which is giving very pleasing results and is more earth friendly.
My latest explorations have led to a series of ‘Twilight’ themed paintings investigating ‘A Kind of Blue’ – driven by the concept of endings/beginnings, lows/highs, change/stillness. I’m really enjoying my studio time!
My gallery, Seagrass, was established in 2009 and has since grown into a well established family business in West Kirby, where I teach children’s art classes, workshops for adults, focusing on one-to-one tuition and art therapy. I show my work here regularly alongside other local artists and often exhibit across Merseyside and further afield. I have paintings and limited edition prints in private collections around the world.
