My work sits somewhere between painting and sculpture, using a mineral-based resin to create abstract pieces with weight and texture. I’m drawn to how this material behaves, sometimes predictable, often not, and I work by experimenting with pigments, layers and surfaces to see what emerges. The process is hands-on and intuitive, with each piece shaped by small decisions and happy accidents.
Over the last year I’ve had the opportunity work at a much greater scale, which has pushed me to be less careful and more decisive, letting the material lead.
