My love of history and man’s relationship with the landscape continue to inspire my artwork. I am particularly fond of barren, rugged landscapes as they offer unlimited opportunities to create work that plays to my strengths and enjoyment.
I explore the subject matter using gestural, expressive mark making. By utilising a variety of media the artwork produced is often textural with parts worked in multiple layers and also scraped back to change the structure and offer a cathartic and dramatic representation of the force of nature and also man`s reshaping of the land.
I have a BA(Hons) Fine Art and continue to experiment with abstraction and bold energetic application of media.
