The art work of Julie Campbell continues to evolve as she experiments with a variety of mediums to create her work. She is happiest when dabbling with mixing materials and utilizing her knowledge of them to explore the differing effects to create the composition and finished result. Her inspiration is drawn from the fleeting moments, time standing still and the memory of the perpetual movement of time.
Her style of painting is fluid and she has returned to using oils for painting. The subject matter that stirs her is the garden birds that visit and are only a short distance from her studio. The freedom that birds have is a huge factor in how she relates to them. Their freedom and their unique quality never fails to inspire her to paint their ever fleeting presence.
