Originally trained as a Graphic Designer, I then followed a different path which took me into teaching on the Wirral, where I still live. Happily, I’ve managed to balance a love of learning with finding time to rediscover my love of art and crafts, and I now spend my spare time ‘dabbling’ in a number of crafts – hence the name Julie’s Dabbles!
My work is inspired by nature, the seaside, fabrics, sewing, wood and general ‘making’! Everything I produce is handmade and ranges from cards, hanging decorations and felted/stitched pictures, to miniature model beach huts, boats, caravans and houses. More recently, I’ve added model building commissions and seascape pictures as well as bird and fish mobiles to my collection.
