After many years of painting using traditional materials I discovered felt-making and it has now become another passion.
I particularly enjoy creating unique and bright landscapes from wool and silk fibres that have been dyed to the most vivid colours. I blend the wool in much the same way as I blend paint, to produce the range of shades I require for my art work.
My love of bright colours, lonely hilltops, moonlight and little cottages features heavily in all of my landscapes. I’m inspired by colour and the fairy tales of my childhood with their wonderful illustrations.
I have lived in many different areas of the UK and found much to paint everywhere but recently my heart took me home to where I grew up, the beautiful Wirral Peninsula and here I currently live with my artist husband Rob, painting, felting and giving the occasional felt making workshop.
