My work oscillates between abstract and figurative painting, exploring both the human experience and the natural world. I am interested in how emotions, memories, and places feel and how humans relate to the natural world. My practice is open and intuitive, allowing ideas and forms to evolve through process and experimentation.
Visitors to my venue will see works in progress alongside completed pieces, offering insight into how pieces develop over time. My studio is a relaxed and welcoming place and I enjoy sharing my process and talking openly about materials, ideas, and creative uncertainty.
As well as an artist, I work as a nurse and a scientist, with a PhD in biology/ecology, during which I examined how other animals see the world. I am also a First Nations Worimi/Biripi Australian and my diverse background influences how I observe and understand the world.
