Coastal dwelling almost all my life, from Wirral to the California west coast, has greatly influenced my work. In 2014 I traded corporate life for self-employment returning to my passion for design and photography. A-level studies in Craft, Design & Practice allowed me to explore my love of design, colour and texture, alongside an early interest in photography, finding my way around an SLR camera and developing my own photos.
Design work features mostly on handmade greeting cards showcasing soft to saturated colours and textures, plus line drawings using the fewest pencil strokes possible. But mostly, continually inspired by our beautiful Wirral coastline, I’m often found barefoot on the beach or in the tide, camera in hand, where the same scene never reveals itself twice. Wide open spaces and dramatic skies combined with my passion for colour often leaves my work appearing more like a painting than a photograph.
