I like to mix my passion for creating art with my love of walking and I am inspired by the wilderness of the outdoors – the elements that are constantly changing, affecting the landscape and light. I try to capture the feeling of the weather and its impact on the surrounding view through line, tone and form in a loose and abstract style.
Recently, I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and experimenting on a larger scale. As my working process involves allowing the watercolour and inks to flow by moving the board I am working on, I have been challenged to find ways of shifting and twisting a much larger board which has resulted in a more physical process.
Through my workshops and adult art classes I enjoy teaching new techniques and methods as well as encouraging the student to develop their own artistic styles whilst enjoying the process of creating and making art.
